Joy Chakravorty is a Development integrator, having 15+ years of experience in designing, conceptualizing and managing large-scale rural livelihood & enterprise development projects by giving emphasis on Financial inclusion; strengthening of FPO/FPCs and PRIs, promotion of solar energy, business & channel development (VLE’s), module development & imparting need based skill training; girls education (extension of RTE); social security & advocacy for Sanitation workers; impact assessment programs and strategic partnership/outreach across India. Joy has worked extensively with the highest Government think-tank of our country NITI Aayog as Core member of two committees (Financial Inclusion & CSOs standing Committee on Livelihood), Indian Institute of public administration (IIPA), IIDS, CSTEP; and eminent non-government (NGOs/CSOs), Government actors, donor like ‘LKP, PRAVAH, CEC, NFI, Barefoot College International, CRY India, Grameen Foundation India, CYSD, IIHS, Di4c; MoRD, NABFINS, NITI Ayog, JSLPS, OFSDP, SFAC, IFC, ,and Start-ups like Frontier-Markets & Ek-Gaon Technologies. He is honoured by giving Independent membership of VANI India & also selected as Associate Individual Member of CIVICUS-a Global alliance of Civil Society Organizations and activists.
