Preventive Health Care & Nutrition

Good health is the manifestation of happiness

Addressing malnourishment & other common diseases by facilitating easy access to healthcare services, especially for marginalized & vulnerable communities

OVERVIEW

To establish a measurable system for ensuring preventive health care practices and proper nutrition, we are supporting Government initiatives with our expertise in this field, without repurposing any existing program. That’s because, as we see it, all current programs are making headways but require a certain degree of external support to be pervasive in the real sense of the term.

Our ultimate aim is to ensure physical and mental growth and development in children, adolescents and pregnant women by ensuring appropriate nutrition throughout the critical periods of the life cycle. We also motivate families to seek full immunization coverage, periodic ante-natal check-ups and diagnostic tests during pregnancy, and early treatment in case of illness. We interact with families to facilitate access to primary health care services for women and children residing in rural & suburban areas.

Our prime effort is to make schools, students and communities aware of the importance that we must attach to good sanitation and hygiene in order to create resilient communities living in healthy environments.

Among the services we provide towards this purpose are:

  • Community health centres
  • Mobile diagnostic clinics
  • Health camps
  • School health programs
  • Immunization drives
  • Building linkages with existing government and private infrastructure

The Approach

Collaborating with the government

We work with the government to establish a measurable system for preventive health care practices and proper nutrition, without repurposing any existing program.

Ensuring physical and mental growth

Our ultimate aim is to ensure physical and mental growth and development in children, adolescents, and pregnant women by ensuring appropriate nutrition throughout the critical periods of the life cycle.

Motivating families

Facilitating access to primary health care

We interact with families to facilitate access to primary health care services for women and children residing in rural and suburban areas.

Providing various services

Among the services we provide towards this purpose are community health centers, mobile diagnostic clinics, health camps, school health programs, and immunization drives.

Building linkages

We also build linkages with existing government and private infrastructure to ensure that our services are integrated into the larger health care system.

Focus Area

SM-PACT India aims to establish a scalable system for preventive healthcare and nutrition in underserved rural and urban communities through collaboration with the Government of India, delivery of services and linkages with existing infrastructure..

TargetGroup

  • Underprivileged communities, especially those with limited access to modern healthcare services.
  • Women and children residing in rural and suburban areas.
  • Fringe communities, particularly rural ones, to bridge the gap between vulnerable communities and effective healthcare facilities.

Our Work

SM-Pact India Foundation, aligned with SDG-3 (Good Health and Well-being), has effectively organized a medical camp, making a positive impact on the lives of the underprivileged. Our unwavering dedication to bringing happiness and quality healthcare to their doorstep drives us forward.

We take great pride in our collaboration with Dr. Devi Shetty's Narayana Health, which has had a remarkable impact spanning various medical specialties such as Cardiology, Orthopaedics, General Medicine, Bone Mineral Density (BMD) testing, ECG, Rapid Blood Sugar Testing, Blood Pressure, and weight checking.
