Dr. Kaizar Hossain is a distinguished environmental scientist and faculty member in the Department of Environmental Science at Asutosh College, University of Calcutta, Kolkata. His research focuses on pollution mitigation, waste management, bioremediation technologies, wastewater treatment, and nanotechnology-based solutions for environmental sustainability. He has published extensively in internationally reputed Q1 journals.

He serves on the Editorial Boards of leading international journals, including Scientific Reports (Nature Portfolio), Springer, and IGI Global, and has been Guest Editor of the Scientific Reports special issue on "Bioremediation and Biotreatment of Wastewater", supporting research aligned with SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation.

A strong advocate of global scientific collaboration, Dr. Kaizar Hossain has been a member of the International Steering Committee of the International Conference on Sustainable Development (ICSD) held in Rome, Italy (2014-2019). He is also a National Panel Expert of Engineers Without Borders (EWB) India and a Life Member of the National Association for Application of Radio-isotopes and Radiation in Industry (NAARRI), Mumbai. His work reflects a strong commitment to translating advanced environmental research into practical, sustainable solutions.
